The round up principle really works. I have been doing this for years and it adds up. Also, have not given myself a raise in years. The “raise” amount goes into my 401k.

Frequently buying ( actually) tidbits / junk for my great nephew ( he has a single Mom) so I started today saving twice of whatever item I was about to purchase cost. I put it in an envelope which I will keep until it gets built up to a good amount. At which time I can buy things he needs / clothes, school items etc. ( HisMom is not good with money), or else I would give to her.

If you go through the checkout and it asks if you want cash back? Get cash back and save it. You’d be surprised how fast you can save up lots of money if you do that

That's a great idea! Going to try that one!

Paying cash for things allows me to save the coins for something down the road. I then take the ones and fives and put them in cash envelopes for things. Such as clothing and personal care. I can not believe how much money I have saved up.

Great tips! Automatic monthly transfers, round up from purchases savings, cashing in my coins at the end of the year at my bank (last year it was $130-140!), and saving tax returns and bonuses have been really transformative for me this past year 😊

Most of what she said should be common sense I save 10k plus a year by living within my means most of the things people buy isn’t needed
