18 Weird, Crazy & Fun Places to Visit in TOKYO (2020) | Japan with Kids
Discover the totally weird, wacky and usual places to visit with kids in Tokyo. We show you some of the most awesome, unique and fun things to do in Japan that you need to add to your itinerary. Ready? Hit play.
On our most recent trip to Tokyo, we went on a mission to find unique attractions and places that you probably won't find anywhere else in the world. What we found was pretty nuts, and I gotta say, I'd do it all over again if I could!
We kick it off with a tour in Asakusa guided by a legendary Samurai.. I mean, seriously. When can you ever say that you had a samurai guide you through a neighbourhood? We had to tick that one off the list.
★ Samurai Walk Asakusa: bit.ly/2OhZopR
★ Book TeamLab Borderless: bit.ly/2Dm9bVN
★ Crazy, Cute, Kawaii Food Tour: bit.ly/33PWVZi
We also visit Tokyo's one and only Unko Museum. Ahem.. that would be a museum dedicated to, well, poop. Of course, the list of unusual and weird places to visit in Tokyo wouldn't be complete without a tour of TeamLab Borderless, renting a dog at a dog cafe in Tokyo, watching cosplay at Yoyogi Park, a session of family karaoke, a visit to the amazing Round1 Stadium, arcades, getting mindblown by Asimo the robot and so many more crazy and weird things to do in Tokyo that'll have you going out of your mind.
So.. what are you waiting for? Keep watching!
Take a look at our Tokyo playlist for more guides:

We hope you and your family make the most of your visit with this Tokyo guide.
Happy travels!

We missed this one, only because of lack of time. 5 nights in Tokyo is just not enough time for a family of 3. You video's helped immensely for us being able to see as much of possible and waste our time. Excellent Editing and Production!

Awesome!! Thanks so much! we are heading to tokyo for the second time with our fun-loving 3 yr old in April and are always looking for unique/weird things to do. Can't wait to check these out! Do you think she'd have enough to do in Round1, or is it for bigger kids?
@HangryByNature
@HangryByNature 4 жыл бұрын
Hey there! Thanks so much for watching. I don't think we even covered the half of all the unusual and quirky things to do in Tokyo. Bigger kids (and kidults) will probably get more out of Round1 but our 2 and 4 year old both still had heaps of fun. They had trampolines, a kids indoor playground, unlimited arcade games and bowling which our boys loved.

That 2Pac painting is amazing!!!!! A samurai walk is totally up my alley. You guys did so much on this trip. What unforgettable family moments. Those light rooms are awesome. Totally instagram moments. My little one would freak seeing those monsters. Over how long did you do all these great activities? Cosplay’s are so cool to look at. My wife’s favorite food is grilled cheese, she would love this. What’s the reason for all the 🌈. Karaoke is an asian family must!!! Bull riding is so hard. Much better than I was. Your narration is so clear and fun!!! We love weird stuff also. This weekend I’m going to the Turkey Testicle Festival 🤣 That toy department is huge. And the Honda Robot is so cool. Lots of robots here. Playing on this arcade would be so amazing. Thank you for sharing!!!

We had an action packed 12 days in Tokyo. We were so tired but each day we had something to look forward to. So it was easy to just keep going with lots and lots of coffee too! lol Kids could sleep in pram and carrier, so easy for them. A Turkey WHAT festival!!?? LOLLLL did i read that right! That is so interesting. Can't wait to hear about it more 😂😂😂

@HangryByNature

The grilled sandwich was very cheesy lol not bad. I think the onsen don't allow tattoos because it has something to do with Yakuza. I remember reading up about it on google a while back. Do you have tattoos?

So nice to watch your videos !! I have a 3 year old boy who’s autistic, from your experience in Japan do you think that would be ok ? I know that Japanese people like quietness and silence in many places but sometimes my little one can become noisy, would this be annoying for then ? x

RIP To the Monster Cafe 2:53 , I heard it closed. Sadly, a few things I was also looking forward to (now closed) were the Oden Onsen and the Schoolhouse restaurant that serves school lunches. If anyone knows of a fun alternative to Oedo Town I would love to know! I was hoping to experience the fun sort of Edo period festival games and atmosphere, like the masks, balloons, goldfish catching, etc...
