Yeah Ollie is right. They adjust their sleep schedules to cope with jet lag and to suit the race. Because it was a night race they go to bed early morning (e.g. Max at 4am) so that when it’s time for the race their body is wide awake like it’s mid day rather than getting tired because it’s night
