Starting at 0:29 (use slow motion or frame-stepping): For his right foot to turn 180 degrees opposite of the rest of his body like we see it, means the bullet obliterated bones, ligaments, muscle and tendons somewhere between his knee joint and ankle. I cringed watching that one officer yank him back by his leg in preparation to cuff him after he was shot. Luckily it was his uninjured (left) leg or he could have literally separated what was left of the nerves and tissue that held it together. As it is, the subject will probably lose the leg anyway given the severity of this type of injury. A side note of interest: The officers pointlessly placed the tourniquet on the uninjured (left) leg apparently without any confirmation of injury to it. To my knowledge, the subject was hit once in the right leg only despite 3 shots being fired. This officer could use a bit more range-time.

Yea he was obviously tripping and falling down, he probably wasn't trying to aim and shoot back at the police, but the police can't take any chances.....there's actually another vid on KZbin of almost the same situation and the guy running from police just blindly flung the gun pointing behind him and took a random shot, and it actually somehow hit the police officer 30 ft behind him in the chest......so it's tough all around.
