I really hope his quality of life has improved. And I'm not saying that only because I'm a fellow ginger! Though, I admit I don't trust it. There is too much money to be made in making it look like a success.

My daughter was recently diagnosed with Tourettes. Her tics, especially the vocal ones, can get pretty bad. The medicine she's been taking is not working and kids at her school are not kind, but she's still keeping herself busy with orchestra, choir and just tried out for cheerleading.
@DigitalChadLife

Medications are tough. They take forever to work and pushing through the side effects until they calm down is hard. It takes a lot of patience. Great to hear about the orchestra and cheerleading! It is funny how favorite activities can reduce the tics.

@pandapower5902 Ah. A lot of people believe that, but that only happens in about a third of the milder cases. Severe cases like this require intervention before they do some permanent damage. If anyone is told by a doctor that their child will grow out of it, they should get an opinion from a doctor that knows the stats. I've met way too many people who were told that and it never happened.

My son had it SEVERE. Showed symptoms as baby. With coprolalia beginning around age 9. Tics so severe, was afraid he would break his neck ( got soft collar). Rages. BUT, thank God he did have spontaneous waning of symptoms last part of high school. There are other issues, though. @@DigitalChadLife

I can see why Red Tape would go up. But there is no denying something can go wrong. Mind you this is the brain we are talking about. One wrong move can mean the difference between a functioning person versus a person who looses all motor controls to specific parts of the body such as the arms, legs or both. Is it worth it, yes. But It is a big risk no matter what.

Are we any closer to finding a cause? Is it a vaccine injury? Is it dangerous ingredients put in our food/water? Is anybody looking at causes or are we just treating symptoms? My daughter was just diagnosed
@MarkLac
@MarkLac 11 ай бұрын
Some people are literally born with this even before this vaccine nonsense happened and can literally be in the genetic part of the family most have no idea about or is often forgotten about/brushed under the rug. I know in the case of my family we have had those born with either mental disabilities like ADHD, ADD or other bouts of stuff that has been seen in childhood or in the adult stage such as minor anxiety and depression to the point where past relatives actually got electroshock therapy. It is why for all of those reasons above that I pledged never to have a child. It is a horrible thing to say, but better off.

As always it’s all about the money as always it is here. Bet we could’ve treated Tourette’s long ago if there was money in it. Good thing he didn’t need pain medicine……. Actually, if you and the team of doctors take the right steps with the insurance company, you can get this covered by insurance.
