WOW!!!! I cannot believe I made it to one of your videos. I am one of your biggest fans. it was me in the KW you followed down that hill. Last year on 3 days notice I had get my old 93' F350 standard cab with 280k miles ready to drive from Virginia to Moab and back. My 2019 Cummins (under 50k miles at the time) had an emissions failure and wouldn't be fixed for weeks due to parts availability. So me and my 17 year old son threw our dirtbikes in the bed, changed the oil, checked the rest of the fluids and headed out. Lost the TPS on day 1. Found a replacement the next morning in Kansas and kept going. Made it all the way out without issue. Bought an enclosed trailer in Salt Lake area as we were just too crammed in the truck. Towed it back. Lost the new TPS first day heading back. Found a replacement the next day in Missourri. Made it home after that without incident. Nothing wrong with an old truck on a road trip. Just be ready to swap a part here and there. Total of 4600 miles in 17 days.

We call the bison: Tourist Aerial Launching Tools as some of the tourists want so much to pet one! People don’t realize the strength those animals have!
@mikehunt3222Ай бұрын
That’s like here in Maine, people see a moose and want to get up close and pet it because it looks like some slow, dumb animal. They don’t realize that moose can run almost 35mph and they kill more people than bear do especially during rutting season. Idiots!!!

I scarcely remember this big lodge and not most of the cement out front. We were moving from North Carolana and running to Northern California to take care of B-36's in 1949. We were 49'ers. Take care. Dangerous place. You are right a lot taller - the sitting place would be showed from time to time. Park people dropped some big rocks, and it hasn't been the same.

I've been to most of the places you visited in this video. I drove from N Illinois to Durango to ride the steam train, then proceeded to drive to Yellowstone by way of Jackson. Just missed the old faithful show, stopped at shell falls and then drove to Buffalo to meeting up with friends to deer hunt. Then back to Illinois on 90 stopping at Wall Drug where I purchased an overpriced knife and then on to Cabela's in Mitchel, SD. This trip was in my 96 full size Bronco. Didn't think much of the presidents heads or bad lands but was very impressed on a different trip that included a visit to the south wall of the Grant Canyon.

Back around 1990 a friend and I who were both black powder shooter flew into LA and bought an old caprice. We did a three month road trip crossing America, attended a few shoots, including a rendezvous in WV., and the annual shoot at Friendship, Indiana. We had a great trip and Jackson’s Hole was on the to do list. We likely travelled the same roads. For Kevin, our caprice never missed a beat, the only issue was a flat tyre. Two Kiwi blokes met a lot of friendly people on our trip and saw some great country.

Nice trip, nice truck.. Reference your cruise control issue. My 1998 explorer I went through at least 2 brake light stitches. It is a 2 part switch, one part brake light and the other side is cruise control and enable flat tow. I flat towed it better that 50k miles and if flat tow wouldn't enable I was in trouble so I carried a spare switch. It saved my butt on a 3 month Alaskan trip.
