(181) Alcohol ink tutorial/How to get swirls/infinity rings and texture w/alcohol inks.

Working on a cradled wood board from Da vinci pro panel. The surface is slippery and perfect for inks. You can also pour on these, but I don’t like to because you can warp them with too much paint. Going for a moody look today and will use some acrylic inks an pens to embellish this one.

Hello, your work is beautiful, hopefully one day I will be able to do it like this, I wanted to ask you, can I paint the canva with gloss wall paint and do the work on top? or can it just be photo paper or Da Vinvi panels? I have never used gloss wall paint but it would probably work. I have used kilz primer and high gloss spray varnish. Good luck and let me know how I can help! Thanks!!

yes low heat! the paper can warp just like yupo

I use acrylic paint flow acrylic golden work well. I also used my thinned pouring paints that I mix with pouring medium and water.

What did you seal this with?

I spray my inks with Kamar varnish and UV spray several coats of each. Sometimes I will resin them as well, but if I resin I only spray coat or two of Kamar varnish first to seal the inks.
