@Tasneem Bootwala Ameen. I think most Sunnis assume that Shias hate all the wives and companions of the profit PBUH for no other reason than to destroy Islam. Little do they know that as Twelver Shias we base our opinions on the historical facts and textual evidences about the characters of these people. even the infallible family of the profit peace be upon them all are loved by us based on The Koran as well as there amazing character, which, no matter how hard their enemies tried, could not be tarnished.

​@@mohammedhassanakbari6722 An American scholar, formerly Mark Hanson, a Maliki Sunni trained in Africa if I recall correctly. He's a no-nonsense Ashari intellectual and a harsh critic of the literalists and fundamentalists. He's skeptical of elements of the Shia narrative, but he's not anti-Shia.

@@muhammad5272 I agree. Plenty of Sunni scholars doing good work even if they're wrong about some things. I'm not going to criticize him for being Ashari when there are Atharis who think God is a magical man in the sky, er... as befits his majesty... Its not like he's advocating violence against us grave worshippers. He likes the version of Abu Bakr Sunnis have invented, if you only belive the praise and ignore the criticism what's not to like.

@@evanfreshman2450 Yes he okay apart from that. I have listened to him a few times. He is fine for areas we agree on but the problem is many won't know if mentions views which differ from ahlulbayt. They will take as our views. If you are clued up it's fine but many aren't.
