I do a computer scan of the original counters, only increase the size by a certain percentage. I then print them out on the 'Avery labels', then merely stick them onto good quality cardboard. Cutting them out carefully with a good exacto knife or box cutter.

Attrition: Since neither player is allowed to look at the units in the opposing players stack, I suppose that in the case of attrition you just pick a stack an enemy units at random and hope that the type of unit is in the hex?
