Hi Friends! Thanks for joining with Rebecca as she prepares and has a tea party for her friends and daughters!
Cherry Almond Scone
4 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 t baking powder
1/2 t baking soda
1/4 t salt
8 oz. COLD butter
1 cup dried cherries
2 cups cream
2 T pure almlond extract
Use large bowl. Sift first five ingredients together then cut the butter into it. Stir in cherries. Make a well and in the center put in the cream and extract. Stir until it sticks together.
Knead on floured board until it sticks together. Do not over knead. Divide into two balls. With your hands make a flat circle or oval and cut into desired triangle sizes. I love to add course sugar on top!
Bake 325 degrees for 20 minutes

What a lovely afternoon tea. I grew up with having "tea time" as my mum was from England. I so enjoyed those times. No one could make better shortbread or scone like Olive Rose!
