Yo that Curry vs KD debate got so stupid…. Literally how can y’all say “Curry doesn’t get 2 more chips without KD” WHEN KD HASNT WON 2 GAMES IN THE FINALS WITHOUT CURRY Like y’all literally are just hating on Steph if you think KD is better than him at this point. Steph has been to 6 finals to KDs 3. When they were on the same team, Ty lue himself literally said they doubled Curry with KD and Klay on the court. Steph beat KD in 2016 and dropped 37 in game 7. I don’t give two fucks about KD hitting shots in game 3s when they were up 2-0 with overwhelming odds against the Cavs and even if he missed those shots they still could’ve won the game. Curry didn’t just defer because he thought Durant was superior, he had a horrible night in both game 3s while KD had it going and he was smart. Curry would literally defer to Andrew Wiggins if Wiggins was hot and he was cold. “He went to finals in 2012, 3 years before Curry” So? He also was in the league 2 years before Curry…. I love how people say Kd is better based on hypotheticals. First of all, the Hawks took the bucks to 6 with Trae young injured mid-game 3… the hobbled, depthless Nets with no Kyrie and a hobbled Harden would’ve got beat in 5 by the Hawks, who went through two of the toughest defenses in the league that’s season in the Sixers and Knicks. They were battle tested, hungry, and hot as a team. Trae would’ve dropped 60 on them, considering he dropped 48 on Milwaukee. And even if they got by the hawks which is a ridiculous hypothetical to begin with, you think they would’ve beat the Suns with 50% Harden and no Kyrie? Are y’all serious? Steph Curry has lead his team to the finals twice before KD and now again after KD and actually won the championship in 2015, but we still question what he can do without KD, and not what KD hasn’t done without Steph? 1 MVP 1 Finals appearance Compared to Stephs 2 MVPs, 1 Championship, 4 finals appearances and possibly another championship and a finals mvp? WHAT?? Also KD played 35 games in 2021 when Steph got top 3 MVP…

Its no guarantee curry wins those 2 rings. If he doesnt win this year it means: •He only won against a injured cavs team. •Lost when they were finally healthy. •Begged kd to join his team. •Lost to the second healthy team they ever faced in the finals without a stacked team(not including 2019 because of injuries) We cant over look curry and crew literally saying that they needed kd on their team. Its understandable any team would want kd but if your that team with 3 hof already that does put a little doubt in your mind about their chances of getting those 2 rings. I just have to look at gm 1 2018 vs the cavs were lebron by himself dropping 51 and only lost because of jr smith vs all 4 of them. If kds not there whose to say lebron doesnt have repeat or similar performances and pull out wins? Maybe the 2017 finals is different with kyrie still there and no kd who knows. Even before klay got hurt in the finals vs the raptors without kd most of the series they were down 2-1, 3-1, & 3-2. So again its no guarantee that they get those rings. Like curry kd has dealt with injured teams. He missed a year like steph and although steph team was injured all year when he played by himself kds team fell apart in the second round. Kyrie gone and harden on a torn hamstring is not exactly even comp. We seen curry with the same situation in less games (kd gone all series & klay only hurt in gm 6) loss to the raptors and we saw kd lose to the bucks. Dont forget before kyrie went down they had blown out Milwaukee by like 40 to have a 2-0 lead. No excuses cuz kd was shit this year but just saying he hasnt made it to the finals without context is wrong. Stephs better than kd imo but making it seem like no debate is crazy. Those 2 finals with each other i dont count since those were forgone wins. Steph has the accolades and stats but on a purely basketball level there is a debate. Their scoring is comparable while steph is a better playmaker kd is a much better defender so its pick your flavor depending on who you ask on who is a better player. I take winning into account but we seen when curry was having that monster season with no help he wasnt having no fun out their by himself and went 39-33(.542). Kd didnt play a full season let alone series by himself but the nets are 37-22(.627) which is on pace for a 50 win season when kyrie, harden, or both missed time.
@lotusaveofficial2 жыл бұрын
@@Emmanny the entire first half of your argument is based on things I didn’t say 🤔not sure how to respond I mostly compared the two using their career without each other lol. Stephs career without KD is better than KDs without Steph Steph literally beat KD, regardless of whether he wanted him to join or not I didn’t bring up the 2019 finals lol Idc about what if Curry won a title there, he didn’t Just like I don’t care about what if KD beat the bucks… cause he didn’t lol And before kyrie got hurt the nets were up 2-1 and losing game 4… people seem to make up things in their mind with that and act like they didn’t lose with kyrie We don’t know what would’ve happened if kyrie stayed healthy but there’s no point on pondering cause he didn’t, and KD wanted to play with him knowing his injury history We don’t know what would’ve happened if they didn’t team up but we know what has happened when they’re not on the same team… Steph is able to take his team to the finals. KD is a better basketball talent than Steph. If you’re building a basketball Player you wanna be KD basically. But the way Steph plays and the production he gives is far more impactful than KDs and that’s obvious. If Steph wins this chip and FMVP, the discussion is over
@Emmanny2 жыл бұрын
@@lotusaveofficial My bad was just trying to gove context on why people say he wouldnt win those two regardless of if kd was there or not. It was basically saying looking at the track record if he loses these finals he would be 1-2 (not including unhealthy 2019) winning 2015 only due to the cavs injuries. Your right steph career is better than kds career but that doesnt mean he would have chips is my point. I did forget the lost gm three thought he got injured then not gm 4 but its still evident they were up in the series. Just like you said we dont know what would happen. Yes steph would probably make the finals im just saying would he have won i dont think so. We basically saying the same thing. Even though kd needed steph more imo but if steph win he never needed kd but if he loses he needed him too for the 2 chips. His legacy can go either way narratively speaking.

I don't think the Celtics will change their drop coverage too much. From G4 to G3, the Warriors actually shot worse, but they grab 24 more rebounds, and 10 more offensive rebounds, giving Looney more time is vast. If the Celtics trap more, I will be concerned about Looney and Wiggins on the offensive glass. We have seen in the Memphis series: When Memphis played small, they were getting killed on the offensive glass. After Adams came back, Memphis rebounds, points in the paints, and defense all got better.

JC I agree with you but the Warriors outplayed the Cavs. KD never outplayed Lebron compared their stats in the first finals in 2017 KD stats: 35, 8, 5 on 55, 47, and 92. That's great don't get me wrong but Lebron's averaged 33, 12, and 10 on 56, 38, and 65. 3 point percentage and free-throw percentage don't mean someone outplayed you just saying. The warriors were just a better team overall man.

And if you don't think "the most dangerous player" isn't the "best" player than someone explain why teams focused on Steph over KD???? There is no discussion, Steph is better.

Weird AF to say a 73-9 team up 3-1 on Lebron would have A) not beaten Lebron and B) lost to the CP3 Rockets without KD when 1) that same team without KD swept the WCF(not a small feat yet ppl literally dismiss this fact) and 2) would have upgraded their team regardless without KD. We obviously don't know who they'da got instead of KD but to think they would've have used that money to upgrade with a few good players is again literally dismissing facts. We can play hypotheticals but to say a 73 win team who had the Cavs dead to rights before what Iman Shumpert admitted was a series-changing suspension NEEDED KD to win more rings is a lazy take that ppl don't think through. And as far as the Rockets go, ppl bring up that CP3 got hurt but forget the Dubs were in control of that series before Iggy got hurt ad changed the way they play. Iggy was in the death lineup and ppl forget that and how deadly that lineup was back then. To have a piece removed was huge eventhough Iggy wasn't "prime" Iggy but ppl for get that. All they remember and/or bring up is how CP3 got hurt and they missed like 27 3s in a row. I'll givve you a hypothetical since we on that... if KD never goes to GS then Steph wins 2 more MVPs and at least 2 more rings in that 3 yr window...he wins b2b2b MVPs and maybe even b2b2b2b ad they def conti to make the Finals as they did and def beats Lebron at least 2 more times. Ppl got their opinions and I have my well-thought out opinion
@iwillb3gr8242 жыл бұрын
Honestly think Celtics will continue to guard Curry the same way. Them having curry score is what they want to a degree. What I do think will change is then switching between schemes. There will be times they play drop in order to take away the rest of the warriors offense but they will also have times where they blitz, double, and trap steph.
