It looks awkward on its own being a short 4-6-0, but in a dynamic pulling carriages situation, it looks great.

In the initial BR era (late 1940s) as that loco appears to be (no BR crest, just writing), I'd say the carriages should be in the Blood & Custard livery. Did BR Mk1s even exist then 🤔 Ah, just remembered, I bought by accident, a few Gresley teaks in unlined teak (thinking they were bargain LNER teaks), which had BR markings on them. They are rare I think. They would definitely be appropriate.

LIMITED USAGE ??? Streamlined B17's ! It was a "Gimmick" and post war by 1951, both Locos (renamed City of London & East Anglian for the publicity) so fitted, were stripped of this inconvenience to maintenance !
