18th century corner washstand cabinet attributed to Ince & Mayhew

This petite little corner cabinet is of exquisite quality with exceptional marquetry and veneers of harewood and amboyna. The piece is actually a washstand with the top having two flaps that lift up to reveal the compartment for the bowl and two original mahogany soap dishes. I have attributed this piece to the famous cabinets makers of the 18th century, Ince & Mayhew, who made commissions for many of the aristocracy.

Dear Peter, Thank you so much for your very kind comment. I am quite taken a back! Sadly, both my adoptive parents passed away some years ago, and my maternal mother two years ago. But my very elderly father is still around, and I'm sure is very proud! Thank you again.
