Hi, why do you put Mn+2 + 2e---> Mn ? the question says Mn/Mn2+. don't they both have to be in oxidization from or anode form? in the video, they are in reduced form or cathode.

Hello Martin! Galvanic cells have a positive cell potential by definition. There are two major types of electrochemical cells: Galvanic Cells and Electrolytic Cells. The big difference is in spontaneity; galvanic cells are spontaneous and therefore have a positive cell potential and negative delta G, whereas electrolytic cells are nonspontaneous and therefore have a negative cell potential and a positive delta G.
