@@piotrkuczynski2479 Been using PS since version 2 in 1992, and not only did I not know a couple of these, but I'd actually forgotten a couple of others, or had always wondered what the actual use of them was. I'd seen the black and white adjustment layer trick done in a tutorial en passant, but the guy'd gone on without explaining it, and just as I was starting to imagine the possibilities, I got distracted by the next step and forgot about it until just now. Every once in a while I'd see the Black and White option in the adjustment layers list, think "hey, there were color sliders in there, I think I wanted to mess with those", and then go on to whatever I was doing and forget yet again.

You're giving away some stuff. The "Normal" blend mode on a layer group thing was introduced as long ago as version FIVE or SIX of photoshop 2000 (21 years ago). Believe me very few people in "professional retouching" knew about this. They were doing all kinds of bizarre stuff, clipping groups, masks duplicated into concurrent layers, even merging duplicated layers, to achieve the same thing. But it's been available for 21 years. So difficult is this concept to grasp apparently, that they actually allowed clipping to layer GROUPS (same effect which slows the graphics card) a few version ago,
