I recently bought one of these after seeing your video. Hoping it works well, it looks good on my Shadow Systems MR920. I also didn’t use the crush washer, my barrel just wasn’t working with that washer. I followed your advice using red loctite on the direction threads and blue on the set screws.

@@SwaddleBeard nice, keep me posted on how it works for you.

I bought one just like the one in your video. I think it shoots well, works as it should. Has about 20% less recoil. Just wanted to try it out. Best to get a round one you don't have to time. This one kept coming loose even with lock tite and set screws with lock tite. Shooting 115 FMJ 9mm. Actually got mine for $17 on sale. I added the o-ring on to the barrel, screwed it on. Put the lock pin in and it tightened it right up. Will let all the lock tite set up for a few days then try and shoot it again and see if it stays tight. I will definitely get a round one next time.

I had mine out the other day and it’s still staying in place well. I used red lock tight by the way, not sure which one you’re using. I hear you about round comps. The problem I would have with that is if I had that I would constantly be twisting it to make sure it’s still tight. At least this one I can know if it moves. That’s just me though.

@bripro68 I used blue first time. This time I used red. We will see how it took in a few days

@@rb58761 how did the comp work out after trying the fixes?
@rb587613 ай бұрын
@brianv3ntura it has been working just fine. Keeps the muzzle jump down nicely. I did use the red locktite though. No issues anymore, and it shoots great.

Thanks for making this video. Bought one of these few months ago but haven’t tried it yet. I also bought it as intro to compensators. I bought it for my PSA FN which already have very minimal kick especially when compared to my G17 and PSA Dagger. I bought a bigger compensator on eBay that kind of looks like a mini suppressor but I don’t know if I’ll run until I can get a threaded barrel for the G17 or buy a G19 that already has one.

@@phonzdandridge0025 thanks for watching. It’s still on the pistol and hasn’t had any issues since I put it on. Performance wise I really can’t see what a more expensive one would do better.

Mine touches the slide a tiny tiny bit when up all the way. I backed it off and tightened the set screws. Im running it on a psa dagger

I lucked out with the placement. Snugs up just leaving enough space for light to show.

Be careful using comps on non ported slides the frame will eventually break on polymer lowers

@@walterhoffman2750 thank you so much for watching. It’s easy to put up videos. The hard part is getting anyone to actually look at them. I think for the investment this is a low risk thing to try.

@@bripro68 yah I stumbled upon your video last night about the comp and I watched a few others. And aye you miss every shot you don’t take. And I want to try KZbin one day.

You mentioned a rubber bushing what kind of bushing are you talking about.
@bripro688 ай бұрын
I misspoke, I meant o ring. The device came with a crush washer but that was useless on my barrel. Perhaps that’s only for rifles?? Really no idea why they included that

I bought a $35-40 bushing comp for my 1911. Mostly just for the looks after watching the Thomas Jane Punisher movie. However, I would argue that it did reduce recoil by about 25-30%. I'd be curious how this one stands up over time. Is it aluminum or steel?
@bripro6810 ай бұрын
It is aluminum. Funny but I have one for my 1911 coming as well. That one is SS.

I have a question Did you have to change anything on your pistol for the compensator to run? As in the recoil spring or a lighter slide??

@bripro68Ай бұрын
@@LittleBoyGaming05 I would imagine it could cause a problem especially if your slide isn’t going fully into battery. Beyond that it will most likely beat up the front of the slide if it is contacting the comp every time it drives forward. Have you shot it yet with the comp installed?
