The GO7 was a die hard! I’ve been in the arcade business for 30 years and the GO7 was so simple and reliable, easy to fix.

Sprague used to make really good caps. See them a lot in old radios and audio amplifiers.

Fun video, that G07 is so dirty (seems like every G07 is dirty) I won't work on a chassis that dirty without washing it. It's so miserable otherwise.

Hey Mike what would you recommend for a 20" After Burner monitor?

20?” Should be 19.” Any standard res monitor will work. None of them are particularly better or worse than any other if they are maintained and working well. But if I had to recommend one over the other, I’d suggest a K7000. Easiest to work on.

@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair I should have mentioned - it's a deluxe machine. It's got a sanwa pm1723c chassis and 20" toshiba tube. I've heard the sanwa chassis doesn't have a replacement flyback available and my tube is in pretty bad shape (I need some rejuve! Currently searching for a b&k to do this work because I can't find any good shops around Houston to do a rejuve.) so I'm wondering if there's a better option in the 20" size. I also picked up an upright, it's got a k4600 19" in there that has collapse. I've seen your videos on that chassis and heard those flybacks are pretty good.

I’ve never seen an arcade machine with a 20” monitor, so I can’t say for sure. My apologies. Hypothetically, any 19” chassis would still work on a 20” tube with a compatible yoke, but you may have size/linearity issues.

@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair How about the inverse; tube swap on the sanwa 20" chassis? I'm assuming the resistance values on the yoke would be ok but the difficult thing may be the neck connection. If I get desperate there's always the good old RGB mod that could be done on a consumer TV from the early 2000's as 20" was a popular size.
