Sifu, first and foremost: thank you so much for putting all of this on KZbin. You've given thousands of strangers such a gift. If you don't mind me asking, what is the range of movement we're looking for with our steps? Do I want to go as far as I can while still maintaining balance?

Hello, Hiro sensei. Can you please tell me how would you give a command to your students to execute an exercise where shomen uchi and sayu-men uchi are executed along with shiho-ashi-sabaki (footwork)? Shomen uchi on mae-ato, and sayu-men uchi on migi-hidari. How would you call such a routine? Thank you very much for your work!

Thank you for your comment and question! Wording is very hard because even in Japan we use different terms on the same things such as haya-suburi (chōyaku shōmen uchi). And shomen uchi and sayu men uchi with shiho ashisabaki would be just like I wrote. "Shomen uchi (sayū men uchi) with shihō ashisabaki" or you probably can say "Shihō ashisabaki shōmen uchi (sayū men uchi)". I am sure there are some other ways to call such drills. I like the way English sounds :)
