Bury the bucket and leverage the brush out by tilting the bucket. That is where the power is.
@WoodsTreeFarm4 жыл бұрын
I learned that with a little more experience.

Bought my L3901 last year; and i've also found a few instances with it not wanting to shift into Lo range. Easiest solution is to use the clutch; which works out fine for me; as I came from a gear shift with F and R lever; where you use the clutch constantly.

good point. clutch definitely works for changing gear range. thanks for the note

I have the same problem for 5:30 . What do you advise . It makes a very ugly noise when I change from l to m or to h and it is very complicated. Do I have to do it while turned off or in 230 rpms revolutions . I feel I’m forcing it too much when change gears
@WoodsTreeFarm5 жыл бұрын
Try touching the forward or reverse pedal just slightly while you shift. When it's hard to shift, it's like the gears just aren't lined up.

does anyone switch out the bolt for a quicker pin on the foldable Rops? It really slows things down having to screw that in and out everytime into the garage.

I have a grader box and the same tractor. try dropping the teeth on the grader box and pulling stuff like this out instead of trying to push it out with the loaded it works much much better the tractor night and day pulls the material out vs trying to push it.

What’s your opinion on the seat and adjusting it forward and back. I’m pretty tall and I’m about to buy one of these but I’m not sure if I’m going to fit without feeling like I got in with a shoe horn.
@WoodsTreeFarm5 жыл бұрын
I'm 5'11 with pretty long legs and it's fine. I actually don't need the seat all the way back.
@DMAXDAVE615 жыл бұрын
At 6’3” I’m very comfortable. The seat could use a little tilt back, I feel like I’m sliding off sometimes.
@rileybuice57135 жыл бұрын
Went and tried one out today and I just know I’ll end up hating myself in a month for going small. Decided on the 4701. Just seems like a better fit and with the 0% financing it doesn’t hurt as bad as it could. Thanks for the info though. You’re right. It would work but it’s snug. And I agree completely on the seat tilt

It doesn't have a lot of lifting capacity....just about every other make on that comparable size can do quite a bit more.

You don’t always use 4wd ? They told me from kubota that it uses same amount of diseal? To might as well use 4wd
@WoodsTreeFarm5 жыл бұрын
I do generally keep it in 4wd.
@MrManic520014 жыл бұрын
Wear tear, more importantly 2wd maneuvers better in any area you have traction. Also will not mark up the area you are running in.

Your old tractor looks just like a rebadged Ford!! Good luck with the Orange demon

Yeah, I think it has a lot of similarities.

So I have found all you need is to turn steering wheel back & forth a small amount to help engage both 4 wheel drive, and the range lever. The range lever will immediately change, but the 4-wheel engage takes a little more coaxing. Also the 3 point lever is right in my "right" leg when I turn to watch the rear implement to make fine adjusting on the fly, I think Kubota needs to re-design lever position much better for us big guys. Minor, as tractor is a dream to operate, and with the backhoe option it's even better! Also it starts well in near zero weather.
@WoodsTreeFarm5 жыл бұрын
I'll give that a shot for the gear engagement. Thanks !! Now that I have 20 hrs in the seat I've also noticed a few issues with controls. My boots are too big to pivot my left foot when getting on and off and my legs are too long so my left knee turns on the flashers when I turn around to look at the rear attachment
@sonofalbion76515 жыл бұрын
It helps to do your shifting on level ground with the front wheels straight so there is no binding in the drivetrain. You'll still sometimes need to rock it back & forth a few inches but it will get somewhat better as it get broken in. Keep it parked out of the elements if you can, and operate all the controls often enough to keep them from sticking due to dirt, etc. Good luck!

@@WoodsTreeFarm I looked at the L3901 and the other kubotas are the most quietst tractors on the market and cheaper then other brand plus kubotas are only tractors has more options if wanted to add on like heated and ac cab and rear remotes and other stuff accully plus they have 6 year warranty wich is nice
@WoodsTreeFarm5 жыл бұрын
I only looked at yanmar and the slightly cheaper price wasn't worth it to me

You need to be wearing hearing protection every time you are on the tractor.

Don't idle that tractor or you will be doing the high temp DPF cleanup process!

All good. 125 hours on the machine and only two regens so far.

@@WoodsTreeFarm My 3901 has been here since 2016 (~250 hrs) and I have yet to do one. When the lights flash a little I just keep working and they go out. if I keep the RPM around 2k it never needs one. I guess I just dreaded doing that! I feel like if I run it like normal tractor I would need to do it all the time. I like your vids man, keep it up! Oh BTW, I put 3" spacers on mine so I could fit chains for plowing snow.. Made a world of difference in stability.
