For example, imagine you arrive in Quebec and decide to go satisfy your hunger in KFC. Only... It's not KFC you're going to - it's PFK! In The Philippines, Tide is Tide and is available as bar, powder, or liquid. Coke is Coke, Sprite is Sprite, Axe is Axe, KFC is KFC, Burger King is the same, as is McDonald's, Wendy's, Pizza Hut, Dominoes, Dairy Queen, and too many others to mention. Knorr is here as well, and like in the part of America where I grew up, is pronounced "Nor". We have Nike products here but most Filipinos pronounce it with a long "i" and silent "e". The number one toothpaste here is Crest - the exact same as the American brand. Lays is Lays.
