Previous partners have done some of these things with their female friends and I was always "paranoid" or "over-reacting." Thank you for validating my feelings and intuition.

I’m a faithful husband but I’ve dealt with similar situations with my wife and her male friend. I told her to stop bringing him up in conversation unless she’s letting me know that he’s dead. I had a talk with this guy, no more talking. I’ve had enough

Thank you for the good work you do!Much of the confusion I have had in my life is due to poor boundaries I learned from my family. My boyfriend has amazing boundaries and I want to do him and our relationship right. My mother taught me to be all inclusive and that I can never have enough friends. She in her late 50's even have male coworkers friends. Now I understand how detrimental this can be to a good relationship. I am in the danger zone with a coworker. My father passed last year and I quit my job because of the negativity. I found a job at an eclectic coffee shop. The place is full of people who are creative and interesting. Grief can be very isolating and so I thought this would be a great place for me to become more social. I am still learning better boundaries and don't always see the red flags or more often mismanage them. Now that I have a better understanding of how detrimental opposite sex friendships can be I want to do better. I have discussed this with my partner and we both feel it is an issue. The opposite sex coworker is in an unfulfilling long distance relationship. He is desperate for attention and approval during our 8hour shifts. I had no ide how important our relationship was to him until his girl cam down to visit and I realized I had a better conversational flow with him than his girlfriend. How do I stop engaging? He seems unresponsive to hints. I no longer open up about myself but he continues to talk and talk, then proceeds to try and make me feel guilty for not sharing back. This coworker is attaching to me and I want to terminate the relationship. I am starting to feel like I am emotionally cheating. How do I fix the problem I created. Is possible to do this in a civil way? I want to bring energy back to my partner, my first true love, who has been supporting me through the death of a parent. How do I get out of the danger zone??

I am subscribed to you because I am a newlywed and I struggle with this question of whether men and women can really be friends. My dad who is now deceased had an emotional affair with an old friend and it became more than that and I dont want to fall into that same trap. Thanks so glad I found you and that you are christian.

I believe these rules should apply to all couples, not just married couples. Part off the reason why deporte rates are so high is due to unhealthy boundaries, poor communication. I suggest couples do premarital counseling prior to even going further and have a proper conversation about this topic. If 2 people can’t come to terns of agreement, that couple shouldn’t continue. This can only get worse after that, you will resent your partner, the other may end up doing the thing you fear, in the future if they haven’t already. There is no reason why your pattern should hold back from being an open book.

The Enemy always works in a very subtle and cunning way. Sin rarely comes glaringly obvious and knocking on your door. Baby compromises is all it take before you’ve slipped down the slippery slope....I’ve learned this the hard way. Just entertaining the interest is already a huge compromise that sets me up to wanting more that then leads to a deeper involvement as you heart and mind are now preoccupied with this person and when you will hear from or see them next....that’s another topic that I’m not sure if you covered it or not yet but how men and women often cheat for entirely different reasons.

Everything you've listed my husband is doing. When confronted with it he claims innocence because there is no intimacy. My reason for confronting him about it was because I found out he bought her a present something he claims is not his thing when it comes to me but went all out for this person.

I feel like I have to preach this in every relationship I’m in. But I truly believe that this is common since and it flows out of the nature of god being within you. I think people that have to be taught this either *already know and ignore it because of their own desires, or *they will never see things this way. I just leave when I see this stuff happening.

I listened to a preacher talk about this, he said he never goes to lunch with the opposite sex alone but takes others with them, that is really the only way to do it. My husband and I never talk to the opposite sex even at work except for briefly for only work reasons and keep it simple. There is a woman at Church I started noticing her avoiding me and going straight to my husband because she started noticing he liked kids and he paid attention a lot to her nieces and all the kids at Church, she is a two time divorcee with no kids of her own but takes care of her nieces a lot because she always wanted kids but never had any so she started changing the way she acted around my husband and right now my husband had to deal with past issues so due to him violating parole with something that happened 10 years ago he is incarcerated but she has been writing him saying the Church is praying for him and they love him and she does too, that was very inappropriate and I left it alone but she just wrote him again wondering why he didn't write her back.

I would tell my husband to set her straight or I will! in prayer tho not physically because a lot of these female be having the Jezebel spirit operating in them and knowing what ephesians6:12 stated "we fight not against flesh and blood" I would suggest you to do a fast and rebuke that lost spirit rebuke and cut down every soultie that was made emotionally between your husband and her,and ask your husband to do a fast as well in Jesus name...

I noticed you keep bringing up,man doing wrong in these segment the experience but I think you should also compare it with both not just on the female part of what man doing. Honestly today again my opinion there is more women today cheating on there husband then ever before and lie and tell them what they want them to know.
