It may not be as complicated as a heart, brain, intestine surgery, but it every surgery should be treated equally. You have anesthesia, sterilization, the cut, the recovery singularities... It's important to know people who have had surgeries with the doctor, to ask all the questions, and the doctor should ask you questions too! My doctor even asked me if I lived near his office and if I had a way to be in a hospital he was affiliated with within 10 minutes. And with covid, he was even worried about who was going to help me and also would be isolated with me. All these things make a HUGE difference! People need to really know and trust their doctors. The girl's mom was reassuring her "she would be fine". If the girl wasn't confident about it, she shouldn't have been persuaded into it.

As a parent myself, I burst into tears when I saw how this young girl suffered. I could deeply feel that the young girl was frightened and hoping that the parents would stay with her in the hospital all the time. Although she has sadly passed away, I would like to bring up an important topic and hopefully can prevent this from happening again. It is really heart broken. Why would the parents let their 18-year old daughter to go for breast surgery? Was it for medical reason or simply for enhancing outer beauty? Before the surgery, this young girl looked perfectly healthy and happy and so I assume that the intent of the surgery was not for a medical reason. In my opinion, true beauty is from the inside of an individual. If a person is polite, has a loving heart and a friendly smile, he or she is always beautiful. When someone admire your true beauty, you should be thankful and should appreciate it. However, if someone stares at your beautiful face, you should raise an alert. All young people are pretty regardless your look, gender or color. Young people have so much energy and potentials and the world is awaiting for them to explore. Don't put too much attention to your outside appearance. Don't put too much toxic makeup products on your body. Don't go for risky breast implant surgeries. Individuals or businesses that promote these products want your money only. They do not care about you or your health. To all the young people out there, you are already very beautiful. By my last year of high school, I was already set on getting a breast augmentation which I did at 21. I just wish I waited til maybe after I had kids because pregnancy can give you breasts and there are lots of changes to the breasts that maybe would have satisfied me if I just waited 4 more years til I had my son at 25/26. Also, perimenopause does a lot to the breasts. I regret that I didn’t embrace what I had and now have to technically get them replaced every 10 years. I have them 17 yea now and haven’t been able to afford another surgery, but I know I have to soon. It’s scary. Otherwise, I would have I have an explant surgery which would leave me totally flat chested with scars.

No. Gross negligence. Every surgery is a risk, yes, but saying it like this makes it sound like there was nothing the doctors/nurses could do about the death, and it was inevitable, but it wasn't. The nurse even had negligent practice in the past (another woman went to cardiac arrest before emmalyn). By saying "every risk has its risks", the negligent doctor and nurse could ESCAPE accountability ("nothing we could do, it was out of our control!") letting them be free will just give them an opportunity to kill another person.
