Every person that knew she was in cardiac arrest and didn't call for an ambulance should be charged with some count of manslaughter IMO. If you're a nurse you are supposed to act if you believe you can help, even if you are not on the clock. These people waited around for 5 HOURS! I mean 5 hours, you can drive from LA to Vegas and still have time to take in your favorite show! That's how long they let that beautiful young girl lay there with no pulse and no oxygen. If that's not criminal then I seriously don't know what is. Who do we have to call/write/petition to make sure this happens so her family gets some kind of justice which will hopefully give them some peace and closure one day. Please ladies, and gents, do your research before choosing a doctor for any procedure, elected or not. Find out if they have had any deaths or malpractice cases that led to permanent injuries. Obviously results matter, but these things matter as well, even more. You can NEVER be too careful or do too much research when choosing the right doctor. Make sure that doctor will be doing your surgery, not an understudy you have never met. Find out who will be the anesthesiologist and look into them just as thoroughly. Find out what protocols they use in case of such emergencies. Make sure they are board certified in what they do, many aren't and you would have no idea! It is crazy who they allow to do cosmetic work on people! Most importantly go with your gut. If something tells you that things feel off then it probably is. We have that instinct for a reason. Cosmetic surgery and treatments are okay and we shouldn't be shamed for them, shame on the shamers! We do however need to be cautious and stay vigilant. Take care everyone ❤😘❤

I'm a medical doctor (internal medicine, then further subspecialty training) and just a slight correction, she wasn't left alone for five hours with no pulse and oxygen. I've done advanced cardiac life support (resuscitation) on more people than I can count and I can assure you NOBODY can revive a person in cardiac arrest (heart not beating, hence no pulse, which is essentially a dead person) after 5 hours. What happened was that she was left alone for 15 minutes and during the time she was unattended she underwent cardiac arrest. She was then discovered by another nurse, underwent resuscitation and was successfully revived. However too much time had passed without blood flow to her brain and this caused permanent brain damage. The five hours here is the time elapsed from the time she was revived to calling 911 to bring her to a hospital, which is obviously wrong because they should have promptly transferred her to a hospital once her vital signs were stabilized. So what happened? She's very young and breast augmentation isn't considered a high-risk procedure, so her surgical and medical risk would be really low. There is limited information available but if I had to guess it's probably an an idiosyncratic (rare and unpredictable) reaction to the anesthesia. The fault here is that she was left alone after anesthesia was given, which should never be done. If someone was monitoring her when the reaction occurred, then emergency procedures (e.g. tracheal intubation to deliver oxygen) could have been instituted quickly. Even if she had died, as long as everything that could be done was given, then there is no liability or malpractice because idiosyncratic reactions cannot be predicted and is always part of the risk when taking any medication or pharmaceutical substance.
@Babu-kr3cr4 жыл бұрын
@@Vendemiair It is against the law for a nurse to administer anesthesia strong enough to put someone to sleep. Then this nurse gave her too much, she stopped breathing, and instead of taking her to the hospital, they let her lie there dying of brain starvation. If that isn't malpractice, what is?

I was thinking the same thing as well!!! How is he still allowed to be practicing as an RN after TWO wrongful death suits??? I'm a critical care RN and can't fathom how someone with that record/background is still allowed to practice and have other people's lives in his hands and under his care!! I have seen nurses have their licenses revoked for much less. This was complete and utter negligence and both his CRNA and RN licenses should be immediately revoked!!! As a practicing critical care nurse, I always have another nurse cover for me and keep a watchful eye over my patients even when running quickly to the restroom. My patients are never left unmonitored or unattended!!! Things can drastically change in less than a moments notice and someone can end up being stable one minute and take a turn for the worst the next.....and you need to be constantly monitoring your patients closely so you can either prevent it from happening if possible or be able to start immediate intervention to stabilize them if it does. To sedate someone with general anesthesia or any kind of anesthesia or sedative and leave them unattended for any amount of time is gross negligence!!! I hope this poor family gets the justice they deserve and appropriate actions are taken to help prevent this from happening to someone else!!! RIP sweet angel 😇!!! I saw a nurse practitioner here in America once and her incompetence was scary. I went to complain for the ear wax blocking my ear and asked for a cleaning, which I did regularly when I visited my primary care doctor when I was living in Hog Kong. The nurse practitioner printed out a report for more than 50 pages to just document I had an ear infection and she prescribed a totally irrelevant antibiotic that costs US$150. I didn't fill it, I just bought an ear prick with camera on Amazon and cleaned out my wax instead. I will never let a nurse to play doctor with me again. Back in Hong Kong, doctors are doctors and there is no nurse practicing as doctors. I didn't realize nurses can practice independently like a doctor in the USA at the time, but now I know. Don't let someone who is not smart enough to get into medical schools to do a doctor's work on you. I still keep that 50+ pages long ridiculous report and when I went back to Hong Kong in Jan, I showed it to my doctors friends, and their jaws just dropped after they read it. They were surprised by the time wasting documentation for a completely wrong and laughable misdiagnosis. They never saw any mistake like that in their careers practicing medicine in Hong Kong. Well now we see why American healthcare is so expensive. All the wasted time, wasted copay, wasted printer ink and paper, for my ear wax problem. In this breast surgery case, there is the huge malpractice lawsuits that will increase health insurance premiums and copays for everyone in America. We are all paying more because some unqualified people want to practice as doctors to make money when they couldn't get into medical schools in the first place.

They need to give both Dr. Kim and Rex Meeker a 50 year life sentence, or the death penalty. Whether you child is 20 or 40 years old, no parent should ever have to bury their sons and daughters. I lost my father 3 years due to being paralyzed from heart valve surgery. It was sucessful, but the doctors sent him to a nursing home without making sure that he was alright. My father passed away on his birthday towards the end of June. The pain never really goes away, but life goes on and we have to push forward, knowing that we will see our loved ones again in Heaven.

Also, not to make the breasts a thing, but I have a cup A (I'm 32) and it's taken a few years, but I've learned that they fit my body and they're good that way. Emily was clearly skinny, breasts are made of fat, tissue and if you're a mother, milk-making-tissue-glands-things (I'm not a native English speaker, you know what I mean.) So if you are not pregnant, your breasts are a standard 'tissue' and the rest is fat. Your body doesn't add extra fat on your chest for fun, only when you áre a bit fat and have that there. She likely wanted an unattainable bodyshape that TikTok showed everyone, that is clearly not natural and since she was 18, that urge to look like that would have likely passed. Because now, in 2023, the BBL-trend (big butts) is dying out again and suddenly the gaunt look is gone and the round faces are back in. Asian eyes are back in, 90's style clothes are back in, etc.etc. Small breasts will be back in soon, they were hip during the 90's. No need to permanently disfigure yourself for trends.
