A local pawn shop that i haunt came into about 40 graded small notes from 1928 to the late 50s. Most were above 30. A few over 60. They just wanted to flip them and they were below book value. A bought half of them at a negotiated price even lower. Pawn shops barely offer you 60% of what something's worth. He told me he still made decent money after our negotiation. You might have been able to get that one for 100 to 120. No harm to trying. 👍

@@Stuplubakcurrency I've heard of them but none in my area. A corporate pawn "company ". More owner-operator businesses getting taken over. They'll probably get bought out by Walmart. That way they can make money on their stuff twice! 😆

Re-watching this video. I noticed your N.D. note was printed after the geographical letter was removed (March 1924) but before the Treasury serial number was removed (September 1925). I call these "gap" notes. Just my terminology. lol It is interesting and does help date the note. Great piece!!

Sweet note! Never see anything like that at my local pawn shop. Just the usual smallhead stuff, with a few exceptions. They are usually pretty fair at that location, but are not experts, so if they see internet listings saying it is an error or special, they tend to defer to that. I always enjoy looking though, as when they don't know what they have, when it actually is something, I usually get the best end of that deal.

oh fuck, they’re coming from Oklahoma. Get an assessment from a specialist. The bill doesn’t qualify as excellent (F) condition. It doesn’t even qualify as very good (VG). I would rate the bill’s condition as good (G), but the catalog doesn’t indicate this because it’s a banknote not in collectible condition. its price is up to 100 dollars, as agreed with the seller and at the catalog lowest mark VG she can't pull it off

@@ВладимирСавкин-д7о Wow. You should learn how to grade notes. As for Oklahoma, I was pretty sure that gambling isn’t a conservative thing. Usually it’s the conservatives preventing that kind of thing. But I’m not arguing with a person who thinks this note isn’t even a grade 8.
