1911 International Mogul On Baker Fan

Letting the 1911 Mogul loose on the baker fan. This tractor is really nothing more than a stationary engine attached to a simple frame and drive system. This made it a poor choice for traction work, but perfect for belt implements. She ran quite well once the fuel mix was set, but the engine temperature was low and they only really hit there stride when fully warmed, that takes time. Pioneer Acres Museum, Irricana, Albeerta.

What applications were the Baker Fans used for? Did they move air in factory's or what? Have seen several video's with these fans but no one has said what they are used for.

Think of it like a crude way of putting a load on an engine to see how well it runs.
