I was fortunate enough to help Jake at the 1911 Syndicate come up with what I believe to be a perfect limited-edition Whiskey Blend that will satisfy new drinkers and connoisseurs alike. However, the quest to create the perfect "Do All" blend got me thinking about how many times I've been asked about my perfect "do all rifle setup".... which doesn't exist. BUT I have invested the last 2 years building and training with what I consider my "Go To" setup or the gun I would use in 95% of situations which is my Type A 11.5 pro. My suggestion is to get as much training as possible from vetted instructors to see how your gear really holds up.... the flat range can lie to you.
Here is the gear I talk about in the Video and why I do or don't use it on this setup anymore:
Primary Arms 1-6x LPVO
Trijicon SRO
SBA Brace
Law Tactical Folder
Holosun red dot with ACSS Reticle HS503G-ACSS
Holosun Red Dot HS503G
Cloud Defensive Rein 1
Surefire Scout
Dead Air Sandman S
CGS Helios DT
Type A 11.5 Pro
Sly Tactical Slings
Blue Force Gear Sling Cable
Unity Riser
Aimpoint 3x Magnifier

Great video and even better whiskey. I dig that you actually run your stuff and put it through it’s paces. I have moved stuff around on my preferred rifle to finally land on the ideal setup for me going through a similar process as you. Be safe dude appreciate you 👊🏼

Thanks man.... people dont realize how long it takes to really figure out what works and what doesn't... a 15 minute youtube video wont cut it.

I've got a couple of rein 2.0's and they both have the same quirk about the constant on sensitivity. The lights are great and the switch works for me but a proprietary switch is definitely the worst part about the rein lights.

Agh thanks for the input! Then I’m going have to find a different solution…. It is not optimal.

13:30 there sir is where you are wrong in that statement at least to me , I like to see what others schools of thought people choose to program into their system ,if it makes sense to them and how they interface with their rifles or pistols (physical connection to the weapon system ) I’ll do a few reps to program that interface with my body and if it works out for what I see myself doing in case I had to use my rifle then I’ll download that process into my program. If it works it works if it doesn’t it doesn’t. Also happy New Years ! 🎉 Wish you good health and Fortune 🇺🇸

I am with you on the finishing in port barrels i am not a fan of, Still newer to whiskey but Eagle Rare seems to be where i want to be the most, and I figure my 12.5 sbr that is in jail right now from Type-A will probably be my go to. Good vid though, and I wish i did the brace and the form 1 instead of the form 4 from the factory.

@@defconcreative what are your thoughts on it on a 12.5 middy 5.56 gun?

I really like it in general for any gun but you'll want a tapered barrel to keep it secure.

@@defconcreative the DT version? That should have a square shoulder. I the the hyperion has a 25° taper.

I realized really quickly at a training course that started in daylight and ended in moonlight only, that seeing a rifle red dot while simultaneously shining a white light, is not the easiest thing to manage, especially the farther out the target. And yes, lighter is better.

Once the gas started floating in the air and reflecting off the light, it became much more difficult with the busy reticle. I grabbed a rifle that had a simple red dot and had no problems A lot changes in the dark

Funny about your comments about Holosun. I have a 515GM & a 510C but I am trying to talk myself into getting something that is just a little more $ like a MRO or RDS to put on my new SOLGW M-76 upper. I’m having a hard time spending the extra being how well the HS work. And I do like the 515GM a lot.

I have found the Holosun rifle red dots to work very well… I have others but haven’t had issues with these chinesium dots. And the shake awake really extends the battery life

Being that most of the US Red dot brands make their stuff in China or use chinesium parts I may just stick with HS. My I-phone works great & that is chinesium. People seem to line up around the block every time there is a new one coming out. I know eotech & trijicon are US made. I may try a MRO & if I don’t like it I’ll just sell it & get another HS 515GM. Thanks for the input.@@defconcreative

My 'Go To' gun, sidearm, rifle, or shotgun, is what I can AFFORD to purchase! Right now (well, almost, it'd take me about 3 months to afford one), that would be a Single Shot .410 from Turkey for about $90-$100 plus tax. My 'Go To' sidearm is the Taurus G3C, for which I had to sell a bunch of personal items to be able to afford, at the price of $262. My 'Go To' rifle took me 4.5 YEARS to afford, and it is an AK-74 from Palmetto, for which I have not been able to secure any ammunition so far. I can afford one box, maybe two boxes (20-25 rounds each), but NOT a half a case which is available online for about $300 plus shipping. SBR's? You're kidding, right? I can't afford the $200 Tax Stamp, much less the cost of an actual SBR of any reasonable quality (an Extar would be the closest cost wise, but that would take me until about next August to save up for, before I could accrue that much 'luxury jingle'.). My choice would be a Palmetto AK-P in 9mm, with the ALG trigger and M-LOK forestock.....but those start at $800 for a BLEM and $1200 for a 100%'er and 10 Mags with a Red Chinese made carrying case. Quite frankly, I couldn't afford to buy a fifth of that "Miracle on 1911 Street' whiskey right now. I need to go to a doc to get a scrip for Quinapril and I can't must the jingle for the doc.....happily, the Q's in 10mg would run me $40 and THOSE I'll be willing to cut out some other stuff to afford, since it would keep my body from 'waterboarding' me via severe Pleurisy, which is a constant companion these days. My point in posting: to hopefully get you to remember that there are a CRAPLOAD of dirt poor folks 'out here' in the world, that are happy to just have ONE pistol and ONE rifle, much less having the luxury of more than one each. Wake up, smell not only the 'roses', but the dire quandry of severe financial 'insecurity' that permeates throughout our lives in every fashion possible. Don't feel bad about being able to afford more than one each, or that you can have a couple dozen each; just remember that when you suggest your 'kit ups'; some of us watching are just happy we're still able to pay the Net bill every month, and the cell phone bill, just to be able to watch your VLOGS......it is your experience, knowledge, and superb post-production work, which keeps us coming back. Just because someone can't afford to buy a van Gogh, or Rembrandt, or Monet, doesn't mean those same people can't appreciate and smile at the beauty, value, and quality of what we see. Cheers from the Oil Patch in Central WY
