The thing I love about home tours given by the home owners is you can really get a sense of the joy and pride that they have in their homes. It’s really amazing what people who love where they live (especially old home owners) can do with a little ingenuity and creativeness. To see these large, old spaces brought back to life in such a homey, cozy way is heartwarming. I was excited to see this tour and I can say I’m not disappointed at all. The laundry and kitchens were both magnificent... as are the other spaces in the house but the library.... the library..... 🙊🙊🙊 As an old book lover I almost wept from the beauty of seeing shelves upon shelves of vintage books... and the green books in the master... 🙊 oh my. Thank you both for sharing such a lovely home and making an old book lover so happy.

That library!!! Be still my beating heart! We have 6 or 7 bookshelves in our house and am in need of a couple more. We love classic books, first editions, collections, rare finds, and old books (the older the better). If I had more room, I would happily make myself a library like this beautiful one! This house is beautiful, as us the decor. For someone with decorating background, she sure did a wonderful job.

Your farmhouse is one of the more authentic farmhouse renovations I’ve seen. I would die for a laundry room upstairs, so practical! Isn’t that where all our laundry is? That baby bathinette you have up there is amazing! The Moses basket on the bed , I remember when they were so popular in the 80s. They just don’t make cute stuff like that now. Don’t worry about your home not looking so overly styled. It looks more real!

Love the way it is decorated. Not too much clutter. I always think a lot of these places although beautiful look a lot like a home decor store rather than an individuals home and i think of the dusting and husbands and kids and grandkids getting tangled in throws all over couches and knocking things over and I would not want to spend a lot of time fussing over things always being just right. Shows you can have both.Beautiful looking without dedicating your life to cleaning and organizing or bitching at everyone to behave perfectly..

I love your big old farm house! Big rooms! I love your laundry room. I have a clothes dryer like yours. I've always thought that the designer was a very smart person. Mine has been a display for pretties...because my laundry "room" is tiny. I also have three vintage ironing boards, old flat irons and wash boards. No room for them either.

I love it so much. A beautiful home. I never thought I would want to leave the islands. I live in Hawaii. But we decided to pack it up and move to the mainland in a couple of years. In the planning stages because we want a farm and much to my husband's dismay, I want an old farmhouse that I can play with, fixing up. Watching this video makes me even more excited about our decision to move.
