1920 Lister Q Type Restoration Part 6 - Fuel & Oil Pump

This weeks video is on the clean, strip down and rebuild of the fuel and oil pump for the Q Type.
The pump had been sat dry and unloved for many years causing both pistons to be seized in the barrels and giving a little headache to remove without damaging any of the soft brass work.
I talk though the ball lapping process and the re stringing of the pump. Unfortunately (for you) I keep my exact stringing process to myself as I would like to, in the future, offer a refurb service for these pumps.

Thanks for the video, will save Historic threads company for future reference (always needing old nuts & bolts on agricultural machinery I have to repair), dunno if it's any help but I order batches of 10 detail steel brushes (use them to clean exposed threads and spray with penetrating oil before trying to undo fasteners) from the internet usually pretty cheap (approx £8) as I've no real use for the brass or nylon brushes that come in those kits.

The nylon and the brass ones get used more than the steel ones for me! The steel ones are just a little too harsh for the lead based paint often scratching it and not cleaning it. We all have our different needs!
