Fabulous! What a gathering of terrific old jalopies......the MG, XK and Lincoln in particular, and of the modern stuff (😉), I'd happily look after the Fulvia for twenty or thirty years. 👌🏻👍🏻👌🏻

I just wanted to say thank you for all the videos over the past few months. I’ve got a few to catch up on and now this one has just ‘dropped’ as the younger ones say. I’ve really enjoyed them. Thank you, both, for all your efforts.

Hats off to the chap that built the 205 rally car on his drive. The Lincoln was a stunner. And great to see "Granddad's" traveller. Top video as usual. And I love those Cheshire accents being a London boy.

Wonderful venue with cars you don't see at classic car shows . My daughter had a 205 with MI6 motor on Webers . Honestly Richard l can't pick a favourite . Thanks

I hardly need say the Lincoln is the star of the show; such quality engineering and workmanship. It would be interesting to know its history. Two lovely Rover P4s - back in the 50s my great uncle owned a Rover dealership and gave me a full set of P4 sales brochures, which to my great regret I somehow lost. Got a bit excited when you "spotted a curvaceous rump", only to be let down by a shot of the XK! I'm getting a bit worried by your fixation with door handles...................😀

Another excellent brekkie viewing video RJ. I have always like the Series 3 XJ, I just really like the styling. A two tone P4 always look classy and has a presence second to none.

Thanks, it's interesting that despite going to this meet on a few occasions now, there are often cars turning up that I'm seeing for the first time (and often not again)

8:07 The 384.8 cu in (6.3 L) Lincoln Fork and Blade V8 wasn't introduced until 1928, but this 1927 Lincoln is said to have this engine. 1927 was the last year of the 357.8 cu in (5.9 L) Lincoln Fork and Blade V8.

Leland and Ford had an interesting relationship. It was Leland who wrangled the original Ford Motor Company from Henry, that later become Cadillac. When Leland was no longer running GM, started Lincoln and eventually Ford did basically the same to him but was uncharacteristically nice about it and gave Edsel a place to properly play...

The Fulvia is lovely. I really like the earlier ones. I take your point about modern cars having terrible visibility, though I suppose if an idiot in an SUV slams into you, you'd forgive a bit of day-to-day inconvenience with a reversing camera for your continued survival. Still, I'm surprised car makers don't invest more research into making cars both safe and easy to see out of, though Polestar seems to be going the opposite way with a vengeance by cancelling the rear window. We need the best of both worlds.

I could be wrong but I've got a feeling twin fuel tanks was a standard fitting on Cooper S after 1966 but remained an option on other models. What gives me this idea is, when I bought mine a million years ago I remember the guy I bought it off saying it was one of the first to be fitted with twin tanks. That was a 'D'reg.

Yes could be something like that, I'm not sure on dates but sounds feasible

Is it true Ferdinand Porshe had a hand in building the prewar Standard . It was said he was fond of torsionbar suspension and a center bar chassis since the 20s .
