"Older" Pop Richard here, that model Connie (2.59) I need that, wonderful (good that I wasn't there or temptation & then divorce????)

Rick, I've recently become positively hooked on your channel. Never a dull video all loaded with an amazing cast of vehicles, and love your format of presentation. So nice to see the father/son bonding round the love of cars. I have learned so much via your storehouse of automobilia knowledge surrounding Old Classic Cars, and now better understand the significance of all my late 60s-70s Lesney Matchboxes, Corgis, and Dinky Toys (wish I still had them) Thank you for appreciating and highlighting the odd bits of old Yank iron that burble in at these great shows as well! It's a bobby dazzler!

21:11 Mazda 323: Sold in the United States as the “GLC”[ Great Little Car]. I had a blue one, just like this. My old boss defaulted on my paycheck, so gave me the car instead. It actually was a good car. 22:08: WOW, Stunning Bentley‼️. Very unusual color combo. I like it. It’s surprising to me, in all these shows, just how many TVR cars there are. They must have sold quite well, and must have been well made. 📻🙂
@oldclassiccarUK2 ай бұрын
Re TVRs they've always had a loyal following, and the fibreglass bodywork has helped survivor numbers I guess (the chassis can still rust though)

Richard - thanks as always for yet another stunning video. The Morris 8 van brought back fond memories - I used to spend the summer holidays at my aunt's wonderful Tudor house in Cubbington and remember Planks bakers very well. I used to joke that they should have been joiners with that name but their bread and cakes were truly wonderful.

Another excellent video from the Master who has again treated us to a visual feast of autorama. Talking of which, your sandwiches must be curled up at the edges after your exhausting walk. I hope you didn't get into trouble with Mrs OCC after bringing then home uneaten.

Hello Richard . Terrific coverage as always and impossible to pick a favourite. The cant rail slot screws on that Humber although asthectically pleasing the slots should be vertical not horizontal so water can pass through the slots. Incidently , that was a series 1 "e"type . The 4.2 was first introduced in 1964 and the series 1.5 didn't arrive until 1967 . The only obvious external difference is the 1.5 has exposed headlamps , a dicate to satisfy the U.S market . Thanks Richard .😊

I'm viewing this again. I like the 1960s music in the background. Tom Jones and his hit from 1965 It's not Unusal. I remember that song back then. Im getting old !😊
@oldclassiccarUK2 ай бұрын
Yes some of the background music is quite appropriate, I just have to not include too much of it
@Carl-x8y3c2 ай бұрын
@oldclassiccarUK Copyright , i suppose. I love listening to my music collection. I was a Beatles fan in the 1960s. I have been playing alot of them. Very nostalgic for an oldie like me.

Hi 👋 Such a good car show. Good variety of different vechiles. I have mentioned that I liked to go to Stockcar racing here in NZ. There was a driver who had a stockcar with a Renault 4 CV body shell , he called his car Snoppy with the Charles Schulz Peanuts cartoon character painted on the side of the car. He was a very good driver. The Renault 4CV on display has a nice colour.
@oldclassiccarUK2 ай бұрын
Yep the 4CV was a good looking car, don't often see them here

As usual a really good video thanks as always . Here comes the gripe I love the rally cars , but Must ask what is the fascination with large engines and the mention of 6 mpg makes me feel a little uncomfortable ! In my working life unfortunately had to deal with oil companies and I can tell you I think they have been ripping us off for years ,look at the profits they make and always come out with some lame excuse to try and justify it ,and of coarse this passes onto the cost of living which some people are finding a bit of a challenge and our useless government seem unable to control My rally car apart from the HA Viva was a 1300 Chevette it revved t o 8000 rpm and did about 70 mph in second gear, and won the South East Rally Championship and did over 40mpg driven normally, the oil companies and the government don't like that ,I wonder why? Not quite sure why anybody would make a superb job of restoring a car , but fit a wooden steering wheel or keep the original bakelite one ,not very good for driving .But as I have said before it takes all sorts to make a good show ,so well done to everyone no matter what their taste! My guess is that an HA Viva and a 1300 Chevette might not be on everybody wish for list

I believe the way to tell a 2 cam 275GTB from a 4 cam 275GTB is the 2 cam has a flat bonnet while the 4 cam has a clearance bulge. That done, I enjoy your channel and Harley's immensely! Thank you sirs.

Not my car, sadly, but that is the Visa GTI that was at Rustival. i know because I sent pics to a friend who owned several back when they were worthless. better than a Peugeot 205 GTI in my experience, if even more prone lo lift oversteer.
