Great videos as always and nice pair of 1921 Morgan’s! I didn’t get the grades right; I did think the NGC slab was higher grade. As for the PCGS Morgan I was thinking either MS63 or MA64 so I wasn’t too far off!
@massabesicgoldandsilver2 ай бұрын
@@stackingnpacking946 yes sir! Indeed they are. You weren’t that far off and 1921 Morgan imho are difficult to grade or perhaps I should say I have a hard time grading them. Thank you for watching and commenting my friend.

GREAT video. Appreciate the history of why the 1921 Morgan? Interesting about the differences. Thanks Dean!

@@PolarCurrency I don’t think I touched on the why we have the 1921, but I did share why they look different and why they are everywhere. I’ll be sending you the 65 this week. Thank you for watching and commenting my friend. Truly appreciated.

Great expert recount on the 21 designs. I guessed the grades but, I had the coins reversed. Go figure. Best Regards!

@@frankchase9297 thank you sir! They are so close in grade it’s hard not to get them turned around. Like I said I prefer the luster on the MS64. Thank you for your continued support and especially for commenting.

Always look forward to Monday mornings to see what Morgan from your collection is up next and today it was a double dose. It may be that the spots were from a poor alloy mix and then they do an acid bath and rinse on the planchets but they weren't rinsed well enough before drying and minting GD
@massabesicgoldandsilver2 ай бұрын
@@GDSavingThePast thank you GD! I really appreciate your support and those spots could just be that. Thanks again my friend.

Both great looking coins! I guess the '21 isn't a bad coin when it's not a beat-up stained cull. 😂 Thanks for sharing.

I’m 2:30 in to the video and my guesses on grades are MS65+ on the PCGS coin and MS 64+ on the NGC coin.

@@alwaysseekingsilver great guesses my friend! I’m glad you played along. Thank you for watching and commenting!
@alwaysseekingsilver2 ай бұрын
@@massabesicgoldandsilverWell, the grading companies saw them differently, but I didn’t like the spotty-ness of the NGC coin, and I thought the PCGS coin had better/flashier lustre. Both nice coins!

@@alwaysseekingsilver I thought the same thing about the MS64. It has the better luster for sure.

Growing up in the 80s and 90s, I remember seeing 21's going for $9.95, the 21-D for $11.95, and the 21-S for $12.95 in BU in coin magazine ads. The D and S have appreciated in excess of inflation since then in grades of 63 and up.

Well, 1921 is the least gloriuos of all Morgans. Its strike if very shallow, the dies have all been replaced and are much less beautiful in all the details of the coin, it is ultra common...The only 1921 that has a better value is the Denver issue, that is also the only Morgan minted in Denver, 1921. I did not guess the grades. I tought they were a little bit lower...as usual.
@massabesicgoldandsilver2 ай бұрын
@@mariuseduard7688 thanks for watching sir and I’m glad you share the same disappointment as most Morgan collectors do when it comes to the 1921. You are correct the 1921-D is certainly the most unique as it is the only Morgan dollar minted by the Denver mint. Thank you for your continued support and especially for commenting.
