Here is an introduction to my old Ingersoll-Rand air compressor. I pulled it out to use at a friend's house the other day so I decided to shoot a video of it. I hope that you find it interesting.

I have two of these Ingersoll-Rand compressors, one a little smaller than this and one a good bit larger. They are known as a Type Twenty (or 20, I've seen it written both ways in their literature).

@@CaseyJoeS that's pretty cool! I really like these old compressors. I sold this one to my buddy. I originally bought it because he had a sand blaster that needed a compressor that big to power it. We actually bought it from his wife's grandfather. I really enjoyed tinkering around with it.

@chipwright6193 If he ever needs any information from literature feel free to reach out. I have managed to acquire a decent amount of it over the last few years for these type twenty compressors.

Nice rig. I had an IR 105, think from the '40's. Waukesha 4 cylinder 4-5/8 bore x 5-1/4 stroke. About 350 cubic inch! 3 cylinder 2 stage air cooled compressor. 700 RPM max. Very nice Very smooth running. Sold it to a buddy, sitting in his field for 20 years now, rusting....

Some serious machinery there! They don't make 'em like they used to! They don't make much of anything like they used to, unfortunately....

Learn how to hand crank the right way or you could injure you self!

I haven't gotten hurt yet in 30 years of hand cranking them. Yes, I have had them backfire and spin the crank around too.
