Great video of greasing the. Throw-out bearing. Can't wait to see your installation of an overdrive.

Ok ya had me rollin' at Pro Tip. All very genius ways you've come up with to get the grease out, Hal. Dang, she's a beauty.

If the clutch chatters, you will feel it more than you will hear it. It only chatters when you are letting the clutch pedal out, usually in first. I got oil on the clutch once in my 1940 Ford (stock). You could feel it right away and it was awful. I had to pull the rear end and transmission out, clean everything, install a new disc, and put it all back together. Beautiful, clean, gorgeous Model A sir!

Hello and thank you for the comment and information. Yes, I was trying to avoid having to put a new clutch in when it may not need it right now. Thank you for being here. Cheers my friend.

OK, don't laugh, true story. I had a guy do what you did, you're not the first. Got laundry detergent and hot water and filled the bell housing. Tape up the cotter key on the bottom. Started the car, looked like a washing machine. Ran about 20 minutes. A lot leaked out, but what was left we got with a wet dry vac. Didn't hurt the starter. It worked, never chattered again. Sounds nuts, but true. BTW, this was his idea.

Wow, that's an amazing story! I wonder what other stories are out there? What would the Model A "experts" say about this? Just wondering. Thanks for your input Brian.

Very nice car you have there Hal. We have a ‘29 Coupe that I am getting sorted. Boy aren’t they attention getters??!

So true. People love them. I offer rides to those that want to experience a piece of the past.

Take cover off & try & get brake cleaner spray in on clutch with motor slowly running. Model A & early V8s are prone to this & Ford installed an anti chatter bar from 1932 with varying success. I find by releasing clutch at slow revs with spark retarded minimises the problem. As stated, chatter is felt [& heard] at release, not really whilst driving. Nice Tudor.

Amazing to think the car was built at the same time as Laurel And Hardy films were being produced.

That is amazing! This never occurred to me. Laurel and Hardy had 14 films in 1929 both silent and talkies. Thanks Robert for bringing this up!
