it's not only cheaply manufactured - with prisoner labor, child labor, or slave labor - it is also produced by using scrap metals smelted down to rolled sheet that is of inferior quality! Many times the paints or finish products used are toxic. Who you buy from MATTERS - support 100% USA made products and AMERICAN FARMERS!

Yes, to a hood. Though it needs to have some well-designed holes in it, so the engine can be seen and guessed for what it is.

@marcijunebug4 жыл бұрын
@@Chr.U.Cas1622 Dog crap burl is...."faux" burl wood that he did using a plastic sack and two colors of paint...I loved it but others thought it looked like "dog crap" so in typical JW fashion he ran with it and hence the name "dog crap burl" was born! I've attached the video he did it in...starting at the burl wood dash part! enjoy! kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJyxmn6Ddslghac
@Chr.U.Cas16224 жыл бұрын
Dear Misses @@marcijunebug 👍👌👏 Thank you! Now I know. Before your kind explanation I wasn't able to see the context. English is simply not my native language. I have watched the ingenious plastic bag touching burl wood dashboard from great J.W. some weeks ago. That dash etc. looks amazing and impressive (at least for my kind of personal taste). 2) Was the video from great CWM channel helpful for making the turn signal lights for your sons fantastic bug cart? Sincerely yours.

I was a little concerned when I didn't see a video yesterday - but then I figured that Jonathan was probably busy w/towing or probably gave the whole day to just working on the car. My only piece of Totally Unsolicited Advice is to paint that fan housing - the rest of the car is authentic, but that's too much chrome for me. And paint that engine however you like - if it makes sends those keyboard car builders into shock, that's ok too. You've got a "Hollywood" type Catscan now...she'll probably inspect things on her own sweet time now. And probably demand you build a trailer for her on-set. Take care out there - and #HappyMothersDay to the Mrs.!

I’d be interested to see quarter elliptical rear springs. The rear kick up on the frame would be a great mounting spot.
@colerippeon39034 жыл бұрын
What are elipctical springs? Never heard of them before and would love to know. ( i am being serious lol )
@saskjoe19684 жыл бұрын
As far as quarter elliptical springs picture a normal leaf spring assembly from a parallel leaf spring system. Now picture the part normally clamped to the axle getting clamped to the chassis and the free end now acting on the axle Full elliptical meant two leaf springs joined at their ends forming an oval or ellipse (like in horse drawn carts) Semi elliptical is the most popular way you see them in suspensions

Looking good, Jon, may I offer some observations? It's a really good call not to lean the grille back. Nothing looks worse than a 32 grille leaning back. It does not want to be upright, as such, but parallel to the firewall. So body positioning, angles and height matchup all need to be considered, but to be honest, what you have now looks pretty good. Also, yes, agree strongly on the long lights. Long car, long lights. All good. The stay rods are normally 5/16. Yours are a lot longer than normal so if it were me I'd be looking at 3/8. You can turn the ends down for threading if need be. Just a thought. Keep it up, though, it's shaping up well. Mart.
