1930 Model A Timing Gear

Beg to differ with you, but most Model A experts prefer the fiber timing gear over the aluminum one. If there's ever a problem with the gear, it's better to bust out some teeth in the timing gear than to sacrifice the crankshaft gear. Would have been helpful if you showed how you removed the old gear and showed how you replaced it.

I have heard some guys think the aluminum gear makes the car louder. I haven’t seen anyone suggest nylon unless they are staying true to the originality. My gear was so brittle that it just fell off. I didn’t even need a puller so I demonstrated it. Pretty self explanatory. Thank You for following and taking the time add your knowledge.

Your old gear looked like a modern macerated diver replacement, not an original.
