Partway through this clip, I realized I don't like this show, and don't think I'll watch more of it. The host seems friendly, but I'm uncomfortable with how paleontology is portrayed here. I can't put my finger on why.

I think it’s that they are treating it as treasure first, not as knowledge first. They don’t seem to care at all about the knowledge that can be gleaned from this discovery as well. That sentiment comes shining thru ⛅️ loud and clear!

@@wishgodgirl1903 Great point! Absolutely. This guy is digging these bones out of the dirt without any consideration for, say, a population density study, an investigation into the cause of this mass casualty incident, anything! Back when the first bones were dug up, I doubt people considered these things as much as we do now! They mentioned multiple species found at this site. That alone is worth exploring: did other animals come to scavenge and get caught in the same deadly trap? Were they residing together in a mutually beneficial relationship? It's crazy! This place deserves an ongoing dig, not a cowboy looking for choice specimens to pry out of the Earth.
