Thank you so so much for sharing our new palette and I absolutely adore the your take on it! And those brows need to make a comeback for sure! We are happy you caught a lot of the little details (like the Indiana Jones map of the destinations) and the cushion package. It really means a lot to us! Hope you continue to enjoy it and I fully support a decade series of looks! Such an awesome idea! Thank you again so so much! Felicia :)

I love this look, even with that lip shape - I feel ya! I can't wait to see you do a Twenties face and hair look... that is my favorite period for make up, fashion, art, and so on as well! Art Nouveau is sooo gorgeous, I mean Art Deco is also pretty but less organic. Mucha is it, sis! I'd also love a true 1700's powdered wig moment, too!

POMP WTF this is incredible! And yeah, totally feel you on the "inaccurate historic makeup" people do. Also I always forget that coloured contacts exist and when you show up with pale green eyes I get 3/4of the way thru the video and then remember your eyes aren't usually that colour.

I...actually kind of like that lip shape, something about it is giving me X-Files era Gillian Anderson vibes? Somehow? I personally appreciate your dedication to period accuracy. Accuracy is what makes getting to see what a real makeup look or outfit would have *actually* looked like on a real live person special.

You did a very good job of a 30s look. Max Factor was so well known for making actresses look fantastic on film and women wanted the same look and products. The problem with that was Max Factor used colors that would show up nicely in Back and White film; those color were greens and blues and red but not place where one would think. Cheeks would be green, eyes would be red. and various shades in between. He had to come up with formulas that looked appropriate on humans in real life. Max Factor was really the forerunner of modern cosmetics.

I love this video so much! You look stunning as always and I absolutely love how you said at the end that beauty is something that can not be defined in absolutes because beauty is something different to everyone. I love that message because I feel it’s something we all can relate to especially when you feel like you need to fit a particular box to be considered beautiful.

Omigawsh so fun!!! You did an excellent job pulling together this look from the 30s! It’s fascinating to look at what was in fashion over time. I think the looks from Hollywood were extremely influential for everyday women. My late Mom used Pan-Cake her entire life. Her brand loyalty was INTENSE. Maybelline medium brown brow & liner pencil (red exterior); Revlon Peacock Blue Super-Rich Eyeshadow; and Maybelline Great Lash mascara. I don’t remember her ever wearing lipstick, but there are a few pics of her before I cane along where she has a medium pink on. I recall at some point, she had a friend that was a Mary Kay dealer in the late 70s. She tried a few things, but didn’t like any of it. Also I was an Avon lady in the late 80s! She never used any of that stuff though. She did not like the makeup I did at the time: pale foundation or clown white; purple, then later grey eyeshadow; heavy black eyeliner; brown, then later blood red lip. Then from age 17-49 I never wore any makeup at all, apart from a handful of stage performances. Thank you so much for this trip down memory lane. My Mom has been gone for 14 years, so it’s nice to think about this aspect of her. 💙💙💙

Your eye color is amazing! Not sure if it's the shadow or the blusher, but your eyes are so green in this video! I struggle with my green eyes when doing makeup. I have darker green eyes which most people can only tell if they get really close. My mother had eyes that were lighter, but my father and maternal grandmother both had incredibly dark eyes, especially my grandmother. Her eyes were so dark that you couldn't tell the pupil from the iris. There is a lot of brown flecking in my darker green eyes and I'm always looking for ways to bring out the green color.
