Many hours of fun working on that tractor 🚜 coming!

I believe it will be movin sooner then later im so glad ur saving this machine. Its rougher then what most would even consider trying to save to thats even more reason to save it. I love watching cars trucks tractors etc that to some people aren't even considerd parts to some return to there former glory an become wanted an loved an cherished for hopefully generations to come. Saving the roughest of the rough is harder more work way more money an time but in my opinion the roughest stuff need the help an attention the most because its at more danger of never getn fixed or scraped or jus rott away. Anybody can fix up anything already in good to decent shape but in reality the stuff thats been neglected and or abused an not cared for is always the best way to go if at all possible. I thank an applaud u guys an u are very appricated fkr all you do. Have a good week.

Just like my Dad, I have a hard time giving up on something, and this machine deserves to get to run and move again. Finding the nearly impossible parts to put this machine back together original is my favorite part, and luckily I have found all of the parts I need, now I just need to secure/purchase them and we will be able to ROCK AND ROLL!

If you can find the specs for those clutches B&E brake in MPLS MN used to reline brake shoes & clutches of all kinds if you have nothing local that can do that. When I worked at Classic auto we used to bring in the brake shoes off of some of our 50s Rolls Royce's that were part of the limousine side of the business to have B&E reline the shoes for them because one to get shoes for them we had to order & have them shipped over from across the pond which takes a while & shipping was expensive & 2 the shoes were very expensive . The brake drums alone were 800.00 a piece lol so we would use B&E to save a ton of money & time so those Rolls could be put back into service to make more money for the business along with the other 25 cars that could be rented that you could drive or was only a shufered driven limousine . Some of that stuff that's locked up if it's sealed & won't leak & has drain plugs fill them up with apple cider vinegar because that will dissolve the rust so something like the engine you could fill the cylinders & crank case up with it & let it sit then flush it out or suck it out with a garage vaccum & after a few days add more to it so it's at full strength to dissolve more rust . You could build your electrolysis again but would need a huge tank to submerge the engine in it which would be a task in its self plus if you use apple cider vinegar it's more environmental friendly except on grass & weeds compared to the dangerous hydrogen that comes off of the elctrolosis with a possibility of fire or blowing up the neighbors lol. Also get yourself one of those pearl harbor freight weed burner propane torches if you don't already have one that hooks to a 20 gal propane tank & use it to heat parts of the engine block & head to expand & contract the castings some to help the oil or apple cider vinegar to penetrate deeper . I am sure if you work at it long enough it will come apart to tear it down & rebuild it & it might not be a bad idea to talk to some of the local guys at who are connected to the threshing bees because a lot of them go through the same thing when restoring old gas tractors that have set for decades to get running again that might have some good ideas & stuff .

As you're finding out they didn't park these things for no reason. Every single last thing that caused it to be parked becomes apparent as you're working on it - which usually is a combination of about a half dozen factors, the last factor being the straw that broke the camel's back so to speak causing the operator to give up in frustration. As you probably know from daily driver cars you can work around things, improvise, and operate around limitations then one day it can't even do that and you get sick of it. Once someone gets sick of all the 'effing around that's when they get parked. What I've just written goes for jobs, relationships, partners, areas where you live etc etc LOL.

A beer keg would make a good tank replacement. Or an M Farmall tank. Hey its painted red right?
@zekeanderson47453 жыл бұрын
That would be a great use of a keg. Beer is a nasty thing for a keg. (Says the guy who works around kegs) make sure beer is emptied out on the ground first.

You can take the fuel tank to a good shear metal shop and they will duplicate it

They are steering clutches, and they operate more like a clutch disk, but they did lock up like a brake to steer the machine
