Awesome!!! God, I love Imogene Coca. She's like human Looney Tunes here. In every clip I see of her she has this weird energy that her contemporaries don't, like she could almost dance into your living room and give you a high five.

Fantastic find, I was always a fan of, Imogene Coca, never failed to make me laugh. It pains me to think that she left this world not knowing how much she was admired and loved. Truly a sad ending. Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece of history.

I dunno she was the second woman to win a Primetime Emmy in Comedy and she was won a Peabody Award.

She was well regarded in her time. I think she knew. Of course, no one knows how well they live on in the minds of others after they're gone...

1946 Official Films "home movie" reissue (they acquired the rights to most of Educational's two-reel shorts of the 1930's for "non-theatrical" use). At the time, this was available from their catalog for $37.50.

Imogene did the same coat "striptease" years later on Your Show of Shows. What a great comic talent. And it seems as though she actually did know how to dance. There was a grace despite her goofiness, and there were a few moments where she was en pointe with ease.

Gee, I wonder if I'm related to the foundation that funded the dance. 😂
