Just came across your developing channel...consider cutting across the roof between a and b pillar that way it's a uniform move...less cutting and just a filler piece of a couple of inches wide easy to catch the roof crown and a whole lots less headache...something to consider

Thanks I’ll be working on this again soon and need to make some more measurements- right now it seems when I lined up the A pillars the B and C pillars didn’t move the same amount forward so it may be a lot more cutting

Most guys cut the roof across the middle of the front window and splice in a piece ,that way the B and C piller still fit.

Yeah I have considered that. In fact did that on the 1946 pickup I did before (this car is only my 2nd) but I don’t have an English wheel and this car has rather significant compound curves and I want to leave avoid that.

Usually square and cut about 2 in away around rear window this way when moving roof you can find common placement of rear window and build to the window frame. When you cut it it will be a smaller window limiting vision and also thought to get square and even all around. Tougher this way you are doing it. But can be worked.

I'm liking your idea of moving both the B and C pillar back as a unit. Makes sense to me. If I may suggest. Maybe you can cut close to the belt line all the way back but not completely then lay the back glass down? Maybe? Otherwise I admire your vision. Keep up the good work 👏
