the most engrossing thing about many cars of this era is the exquisite craftsmanship of those who sculpted the flowing shape of the bodies out of flat sheets of metal. Astonishing.

Fascinating car!! Curved glass for the windscreen was nearly impossible at the time. The design would have benefited from it greatly. I love the dashboard and steering wheel!! The classic turned metal and gear shaped steering wheel center are great!!

Though the originals are lost to time, these reproductions are a true labor of love combined with automotive archeology. Is it too early to dub them classics in their own right . . . ? Thanks for posting this, Retro Car! 70th Like.

Some sources say that one of the cars was transported to the Soviet Union, but there is no accuracy or reliability of this information. There is no information and photos, if it was in the Soviet Union, there would be photos, text information, maybe it would be restored. So, I did not include this information in the video because there is no accurate information.

@@retrocarchannel That's possible. The Russians weren't shy about claiming spoils of war. But I think if they did, we'd have known this by now not long after the age of Glasnost. Speaking of the Soviet Union, maybe you could make a future video about the car collection of Vladimir Lenin; especially his Rolls-Royces. I remember he owned a Silver Ghost that was converted into a halftrack along the lines of Virgil White's Model T Snowmobiles.

I like that the Wanderer name still survived at this point in Audi history, one of the four rings.

Nice streamlined body… you can see the air moving over and around it.

i think it look very aethetic and sporty 3:41, its nicer than alot of todays sportscars. it should have a V16 turboengine in it, like in the bugatti chiron, to get it to like 200mph cruisespeed for the autobahn.

The wind screen seems not appropriate

Considering what original information the restorers had to work with, it looks like they did the best they could. Which is still pretty impressive.
