1938 Zündapp K800 - German Pre-War Motorcycle - Full Restoration

We did a ground up, nuts and bolts restoration on this 1938 Zündapp. It took nearly 6 months (one of our longer restorations) in our search for parts from Germany, paint work, cad plating, etc. It's a beautiful art-deco machine and runs flawlessly. It has an air-cooled, 4-cylinder engine with a top speed of 70 mph. The Zündapp K800 is listed as one of the top 100 machines of the 20th century.

My first motorcycle was a Zundapp 200 in 1957 while in high school. The quality was top notch for the day and very rugged. It puzzled me that they slowly drifted toward smaller two-strokes and were essentially gone from the U.S. market in the early '60s.

Wau! Tolle Restauration. Unglaublich schön geworden! In Österreich hatten wir das Gegenstück davon. Die Puch 800 Boxer. Leider sind im Krieg viele davon verloren gegangen und somit gibt es nur mehr ein paar ganz wenige. Grüße aus Linz/Österreich 🇦🇹🏔⛷🍺🥨🛶😎💪😺🐺
