Jared, man do I know that sting all to well. I have about 32 acres of private land that I have permission on but it is almost public land cause they don't care who hunts it. There is some public land that I also hunt and all of the mature deer that have ever came across a hunter or across a camera have been harvested or hit by a car this year. Some on public have even been left and only the antlers have been taken, that stings too. This is my 1st year of hunting where I still have all of my tags (1buck and 2doe) and NO venison. Keep your head up brother, late season is not over yet, I'm not backing down yet either. Best of luck to you.

I here you Jared, your educating all the local hunters, about the great bucks your scouting, in the area. I think he already spotted the camera, some reflection, white skin on hands, or face, not covered up, etc. That's what put him on alert, because he didn't bolt, right away, until he walked right into the scent stream. Regarding your comments at 22:00 - this is so so true! People "hunters" have become incredibly lazy and they want everyone to do the work for them. Why scout and set stuff up when they can just watch the video and see what you're doing? It's truly pathetic and we faced the exact same issues in MO, KS, IA and IL. Done filming and putting the info out there for all the lazies.

Like Jared said, no one owns these deer. Kudos to them for getting permission and killing that deer. That said, I personally could never have done that. Kind of a dick move to set up right on their doorstep after they employed you and helped you with your start in the business. But that’s just me.
