1940's RCA 16MM Projector Drive Belt Replacement! Did I get lucky and find a spring belt???

In this video, I show how I try to fix my vintage 16mm RCA movie projector. When I purchased it, it was missing the forward drive belt. I went out on a limb and bought another model and brand spring belt. Did it work?? Check the video out.

I know your video was uploaded a while ago but I only found it today, but if the lower drive belt isn't looped together, it's probably threaded. you'll have to look very carefully at it to find where the belt is screwed together, because when the belt ends are seperated, there is a slightly tapered end to the belt on one end with the coils that will fit into the open end in the opposite end of the belt and screw together. it may be hard to find and the ends may be hard to unthread but they're there. I actually don't like this kind of way to attach a belt together because I've had problems keeping the belt from staying threaded together and as the belt is turning on the pulleys, it keeps on wanting to come unthreaded. the hooked end type is usually more reliable.
