Glad you let your little apprentice help unbox your new floor (toy). Looks like that guy is going to be a great helper. I expect the TIG welding lessons to begin before kindergarten.

My old man had one of those spot welders at his body shop. All you do is put the two leads where you what the spot welds and pull the trigger. It creates two spot welds at once. Think of it almost like a + and - on a battery, the two leads complete the circuit when you pull the trigger. It works fantastic for replacing panels. You don't have to have the leads on both sides of the panel so you can do blind spot welds and hard to reach places. I messaged you on Facebook if you need more information on the spot welder just DM me . Love watching your excellent work. Keep them coming

Thanks for sharing, Travis! Excellent job on the rear of the floorpan! 'Loved your little helper at the beginning of the video! If Shepard is anything like his father, there's no way you're gonna be able to keep him outta the shop! What a wonderful problem to have! Enjoy! Be safe! Bro Harry

In spite of the slight differences between this new pan and the original ‘36 floor, once it’s together NOBODY is going to notice. This new pan is going to make a much nicer car.

That little guy doing his Dad impression with the hammer on the frame rails was awesome. I was surprised to see how much of the '36 inner tail piece that you cut away, I was expecting to keep as much of that as possible, and the end result looks great. That's the difference when you know what you're doing (unlike me)...

You can use both leads on one side , just make sure there is no gap or it will burn a hole , used one about 40 years ago that was before mig and tig if you burn a hole fill it up ,easy .

Floors do look great!!! We tried using some of that "weld through" primer on my son's 57 Chevy (one of those spare tire well covers) and had nothing but trouble with the paint burning and contaminating the TIG welding. Ended up sanding it off so the rosettes would work. Is there some kind of "secret" we didn't know about?? Looked like you had no problem at all. Of course, we weren't doing "beads". lWe were doing rosettes welding the flat panel where the well used to sit in the recess that was formed in the trunk floor.

looking sweet! assuming the spot welder works the technique of doing them side by side makes sense. looking forward to seeing it.

You better prep that rear panel inner surface before welding it on to protect from rust I hope
