The bolts were threaded into the flange. We get those almost exclusively up here in Oregon. You can cut them flush and retap if you ever run into one again. Push flanges work too though!

Crazy re-do set up on the supply pipes in the first place! Looks way better after you were done. Just for my own learning, why not just unscrew the remainder of the supply pipe and use a shorter nipple (no pro-press)? Thanks for the video!

@rsmith7292 i tried but couldn't get any leverage on the pipe wrench. I could only fit my 14" wrench in there and a 1" galvy fitting from the 50s or 60s wont come out without a lot of leverage on a 24" wrench

I'm not a plumber professionally and never worked with the steel pipes, so is there a reason why someone wouldn't have just soldered the new pipes instead of cutting the vent to use pressed fittings?
@grounded-b93724 күн бұрын
you can't solder to galv steel. You need to pro-press on an adapter

Idk how tough it wouldve been to break the 1" nipple loos and throw on a brass street 90 then go from there , in the moment you wanna do what your set up fro , but honestly trynna press in the wall like that aint gonna always be the best go to , love the videos bro

If your afraid the the nipple squashing from the wrench , smack a 3/4 nipple in there and itll keep the strength up , if its a 3/4 nipple smack a 1/2 nipple and and unthread
