In brushing out these types of sets you want to form the wave around your hand or against your blouse (which is why it’s called blouse brushing). This helps to reduce the fluff of brushing.

Hi, what you can do to help keep the curl from getting messed up by the wind is to pin in a hairnet. You can get a smaller hairnet add hairspray and that will help keep the curls together even in very windy weather.

Hello Emilia, I have similar hair to your and I'm scared my hair will frizz if I spray them. Especially if I need to straighten first. Any suggestions? And I love coconut oil for my hair.

Hey, I don’t spray my hair after straightening it. I just use some setting lotion mixed with coco nut oil on my hair. If you’re afraid of frizz I would definitely recommend you to use pin curls instead of sponge rollers since they can easily make your ends dry :)
