1942 McLaughlin Buick Special Sedanet

Very rare Canadian-built Buick from the final year of McLaughlin branded automobiles. Limited production due to the onset of WWII, this is body #26 out of what was likely less than a few hundred made that year, across all body styles.

Buicks were all Straight 8 cars. The last Buick 6 was 1930.

Yes, it is! It's called Ottawa Blue, code 241. A very dark blue, almost black.

Hi great video as usual. Ah . . . I must be missing something. Why so Special? Canadian built cars were mostly Junior models of their US kin. I thought this Special maybe a larger engine or more carbs or longer WB. Alas, it appears to be a Junior Buick Special. As today, any vehicle that's had say, the Mclaren treatment, oh my lord,, name your price. So I must have missed something. If so, please correct me.

These McLaughlin Buicks are incredibly rare in the US, and was the brand founded in Canada that brought GM up north. R.S. McLaughlin built his own chassis, but relied on Buicks for the motors.
