I'm concerned when you put the case cover on for the timing gears camshafts you had washers on the inside of the gear 2 protective the case but usually on the other side of the gears there should be washers to protect the cover. Did somebody leave them out and need to check clearance on cams that are not flopping back and forth. That will work out the rollers real fast.

what a bunch of crap. harley stopped shiming the cams in the late 80's. the cam plates protect the inner cam bearings and the bushings take care of the cam cover. unless you have alot of binding, you have no real side to side movement of the cams. tatro

That sweater looks amazing!! Is it a V neck, a turtle neck, maybe a mock turtle neck, does it have a pocket maybe it has a collar on it? So intrigued by the sweater that I missed everything you said.

Tatro, if you use the Torco red asmb lube will it still be good if engine sits 2-3 years before it's installed in the bike frame?

we did a 30 year test on a knucklehead motor and it still was good and sitting where we left it. tatro

Polishing the outside area of the lifter block just abit they fall right in with just your fingers....I never force them in!!

a light pess fit is best so that things don't move around under load. tatro

Y not heat the block a bit to put the lifter blocks in?.
