i love old trucks, and i'd love to see one of these unique-looking mid '40s chevys on the road. these just look soo strange compared to things you see these days!

@4freespeech Stupid that there is a rail system designed specifically for freight and they use trucks so much. One train=100's trucks. One engineer or 100's of drivers? It seems to me like having a bunch of small boats on the ocean instead of using big container ships.

Make a hell of a nice car hauler. All of the old COE's should be declared National Historic Relics. Rare as hen's teeth.

Great looking truck. Very good work with the camera also.
@Trucker0666014 жыл бұрын
@01ps well the whole reason of that is because rail roads can only go as far as the tracks go. and usually the trains drop off cargo somewhere, and the trucks pick it up and ship off the cargo where they need it. without truckdrivers the usa would be royally fucked. and quite honestly its pretty hard to drive a train on the road...

@Trucker06660 Not saying trucks need to be completly replaced, but long haul stuff seems like a waste. I am sure there are lots of factors to be considered.

Great video. Love the sound of the truck driving. What are your plans with it? Have fun building and driving. Diedelson

pardon my poor knowledge, but is there a special reason for a cabin design like that? is it geometry of the powertrain or is it just cosmetic? thanks

nice project truck! i would fix the important things, but i wouldnt do anything to the body, it looks so good just the way it is. old cars from the 70s and earlier just get better looking with age. just about anything newer than that aint worth restoring though.

Love the action shots....Oh Yeah! 🥰 Got more on this rig? Is that powered by a 6cycl? It’s a sharp truck. My dad had a few of those back in the day when he was in the transfer business. Love the grill. 🥰 Bet it’s still 6 volts.

If I was ignorant I would have thought like u, speed limit is irrelevant, the blazer was just going to overtake a slower vehicle; a vehicle that decided to turn left with no indication or lights of any kind and still avoided him so no harm done, it was negligence on the part of the COE; btw "methinks" is an english expression, not everyone speaks like americans.....whos ignorant? keyboard warriors, ur great.

I'd say it was the chev. driver that was incompetent he should have given way more le way to a truck that old.
@tpvalley13 жыл бұрын
@dunn98632 methinks you're one of those drivers. think! If u approached a car slowing down with no indicator u would assume he was stopping so overtake on the left, then if the person was actually turning left in front of u, what would u do? brake hard and go round the right side like the blazer did. the driver with no indicator or even plates is at fault; an advanced or even half decent driver thinks ahead and so avoids this, really its just good manners and comes naturally to the polite

they were shaped like that so the same strength truck can be shorter. shorter truck means the trailer can be longer and still be within legal lengths

Nice toy! Lucky! Most people just don't get it, and would see this otherwise grand old machine as an "old clunker" or "hunk o' junk" without realizing it as the wonderfull working relic that it is.

Man, My friend came over from the States and told me how bad the driving was over there, He was right sure enough...He said the driving test wasn't up to much either...thank God the British test is tough....Jeez...you nearly wiped out the guy behind you due to your incompetence....
@leewatkins16109 жыл бұрын
in the us if that guy in back would've hit him ,it would have been the fault of the guy in back.I wouldn't worry about the incompetence of aguy tooling around in a relic truck on a beautiful sunday afternoon,Id just be careful,and cut him some slack.
